You Need This Pdf Creation Tool - Endorsed By Printing Expert

This article is about how you can construct your own Portable Document Format (PDF) file without spending a lot on software. Matter of fact, you won’t spend anything and you get to keep the software.
Unless you are producing artwork intended for a printshop like mine on a regular basis, forking over $300 to buy the full version of Acrobat may not be appealing to you. By the way, only the full version of Adobe’s Acrobat (not the free Acrobat Reader) can make an Adobe PDF.
PDF has become a worldwide standard for cross-platform file sharing many software programs have have added pdf creation features. Adobe may be the dominant player but it is far from being the only player. For example, Microsoft Publisher has pdf creation features in version 2007.
Making a pdf has another use too. Say you want to send a file to your buddy but your email client keeps rejecting it because its too big. Pdf creation software compresses the useless space in a file and often reduces file sizes by 70% or more.
Let’s cut to the chase. There are many low cost or free pdf creation services available when you search online. I have tested several on behalf of my printing clients and have come to the conclusion that PrimoPDF beats them all. My criteria was that it had to be EASY, uncomplicated, no hassles, no spam and free. You can download Primopdf from their website http://PrimoPdf.com/ at no charge, thank you very much.
The installation is simple and nearly automatic. The software will load a driver on your computer’s system and it will appear as “Primopdf” in your print dialog box. You will print using that driver instead of your desktop printer and the result will be a pdf instead of the output going to your desktop printer.
Let me say it another way. After installing PrimoPdf, open your document or photo and on your tool bar select File>Print. You will see the list of printers you have installed. Instead of selecting your desktop printer, select the “Primopdf” and press the print button. That’s all there is to it.
If you feel a bit leery of installing Primopdf as a driver on your computer you can always use their online pdf creator on their website at Primopdf.com All you need to do is drop in your email (so they can send you the pdf file) and navigate to the file on your desktop. Select the file and let ‘er go. Shortly, you will get an email with your pdf file attached. Is that cool or what? So easy a caveman could do it!
I have no financial interest in Primopf. I am only telling you about this because it works and works well. Matter of fact I even once used it when Acrobat choked on one of my client-provided native files. I guess Primo is not quite as picky about what it converts.
There are limitations to Primopdf and the features are slim so don’t think you getting something as powerful as Adobe Acrobat. But the price is right, wouldn’t you agree?
