Productivity Equals Applied Knowledge

Productivity is the output of human capital whether those actions are direct or indirect. So how can achieve maximum productivity from your employees or your greatest asset your human capital.
For years, the statement Knowledge is power has been uttered from young school age students to adults. This statement creates a belief false belief statement that knowledge and knowledge alone is all powerful.
Yet, knowledge is not the greatest power. Applied knowledge is where true power rests. And applied knowledge therefore equals productivity. How well we apply that knowledge may increase individual productivity or employee productivity. The application of knowledge will take you from where you are now to where you want to be.
For knowledge alone will not change your life. You can sit in a library all day as someone who is a life long learner. So what? Until you can direct that knowledge to some desired end result, then only then will you improve your own productivity or performance. Therefore to ensure maximum productivity demands that each individual becomes a self directed learner who can begin to apply that knowledge and realize measurable results.
To maximize your productivity through new knowledge requires that you adopt a proven goal setting process that is in alignment with your overall purpose, personal action plan or business action plan.
Then you must look to your attitude. Do you not only embrace learning, but take action to apply new knowledge? Or do you fear trying something new because you do not want to make a mistake?
Finally, you need to revisit your self leadership skills. How can you leverage these skills to achieve maximum productivity as you apply new knowledge?
If you goal is to increase you employee productivity or even your own productivity, then by recognizing productivity equals applied knowledge is your first step. Next look to goal setting, positive attitudes and self leadership skills as you continue to improve productivity.
