Information overload means having too much info at your disposal. It becomes a problem when you simply do not know where to start.
I read an interesting forum post (I think it was on Warrior Forum) where a guy started a thread asking if there really is such a thing as information overload.
His point was that his local library is full of books. However, he simply chooses some books he wants to read and is not frazzled by the choice available to him.

Supposing a seven year old wrote an article about how Shakespeare was a bad writer. Of course, the 7 year old has not read anything by Shakespeare. But, he has read a few comics and, by his standard, the comics are much more likely to be good reading than Shakespeare. He has never tried reading Shakespeare, nor does he have any inclination to try it; it looks boring and a waste of time. We would not blame the seven year old for preferring comics to Shakespeare. But, given that he has never read Shakespeare, how much weight could we give to his views that Shakespeare is a bad writer?

Questions for Scientists
What I have to offer is a unique perspective on autism — one that is seldom addressed, often ignored, and frequently denied. I have engaged in thought, word and picture sending, joining and receiving for many years. My students have said that I send strong thoughts like “radio waves.” I can quantitatively prove that a transfer occurs when I am sending. Joining and receiving is qualitative. Perhaps there is a way to measure it.
I would like to engage a group of open minded scientists willing to explore currently unexplainable phenomena. My hope is that with access to brain imaging technology and research facilities, these anomalies can be addressed in a respectful manner.

Objective: In this lab you will configure a simple network to allow two routers to route packets between to remote networks. The text that is in bold is the text you need to type during the lab. Requirements:
- Two Cisco routers with one Ethernet port and one serial port.
- Cisco IOS 10.0 or higher
- One PC for consoling into routers with terminal emulation software
- One serial cable
- One Cisco rollover cable
Setup: Step 1: Physical Connections Connect the following interfaces:
- Console: Connect your PC/terminal to the console port using a rollover cable and HyperTerminal (9600-8-N-1-no flow)
- Ethernet: Connect Ethernet ports to a hub or a switch using a straight-through cable. Use a cross-over cable if going directly from the PC’s NIC to the Ethernet (AUI) port on the router using a transceiver.
- Serial: If going directly between two routers, don’t forget to connect one port via the DTE cable and the other via the DCE cable.
Step 2: Boot up the routers Just say “no” to use the setup mode (setup dialogue). The setup mode will only allow you to configure the router with the basic features and not with any advanced features. If asked if you would like to terminate the auto configuration; say “yes”. Let the routers finish booting.
