Let’s say that you had a friend that lived in another state and was considering changing schools based on what’s happening at his current school. Would you have a clear perspective on what a good training environment is supposed to be to help him make the right decision?
Each week, I receive emails from two types of grapplers; grapplers that love the places where they train and grapplers that hate it but refuse to leave for various reasons.

Productivity is the output of human capital whether those actions are direct or indirect. So how can achieve maximum productivity from your employees or your greatest asset your human capital.
For years, the statement Knowledge is power has been uttered from young school age students to adults. This statement creates a belief false belief statement that knowledge and knowledge alone is all powerful.
Yet, knowledge is not the greatest power. Applied knowledge is where true power rests. And applied knowledge therefore equals productivity. How well we apply that knowledge may increase individual productivity or employee productivity. The application of knowledge will take you from where you are now to where you want to be.

Steven Benglas, in his article “The Very Real Dangers of Executive Coaching” (Berglas), makes several criticisms of executive coaches, including; that coaches “sell themselves a purveyors of simple answers and quick results”; that coaches only focus on behavioral solutions, ignoring or worsening possible important psychological issues of the “coachee”; and that coaches “exploit the powerful hold they develop over their clients” (Berglas, p. 88).

It’s summer for those of us in the US and Europe. The sun is shining. The days are longer. We feel energized. Are you enjoying the classic joys of summer?
