This one simple request resulted in such precious practical teaching. Never be afraid or slow to make relevant requests.
We move onto Luke Chapter 11 and verse 13. It is another very precious moment on the journey to Calvary.
We read of Jesus Christ praying - Jesus at Prayer - Jesus communicating with His Father. And Jesus says to us His Disciples - “Follow Me”. Here is one way to follow Him more closely - in the realm of prayer. This is one very practical way whereby we can be obedient to God - simply by praying.

If you want to talk about a limiting perspective on life that can take you out of the game faster than anything, it is what I call the “perfectionist frame.” The feeling or belief that whatever you are doing or working on has to be nothing less than perfect or it is unacceptable.
There are many possible places this comes from, whether it’s having parents who put that kind of pressure and expectation on you as a child, the experience of actually having done some thing(s) to perfection in the past and developing a compulsive attachment to that experience, wanting to show everything and everyone that you can do it or ultimately you really are better then them at the end of the day, the fear of “screwing up” or letting people down, fear or criticism, and on and on and on.

Passiveness
Leaders cannot be passive. Direction must be given. The needs, wants, thoughts of the leader must be known and asserted. Leaders need not be aggressive. They must, however, have the full range of assertive skills, ranging from basic assertion of their needs through to consequence assertion when their needs are not being met.
Unaccountability
Leaders take accountability for their actions and the actions of those they lead. People who influence groups to take group decisions and hide behind the group decision are politicians, not leaders. So are leaders who delegate responsibility for making a decision and do not take accountability for the ability of the person so delegated to make the decision. Leaders acknowledge their mistakes freely, safe in the knowledge of what they have learnt.

Dr. John C. Maxwell stated, “The true measure of leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.” I would be remiss if I did not say, John C. Maxwell is my favorite leadership expert and role model.
Having served over 20 years in the United States Air Force (USAF) as a military officer, it is natural for me to continue learning everything I can about leadership. More important than understanding leadership is to learn leadership is influencing, nothing more, nothing less.

Jeannie is quitting her job … Again.
It’s the third one she has quit in less than a year. The people she works with are awful and her skill-set is not being used. She quit her last job also because the people she worked with were awful and she was not using her skills. The one before that she also quit. Guess why.
Some would say “Good for Jeannie!” she refuses to stay in a volatile environment and wants to do the job she was hired to do; where her value is noticed. Others might be thinking that perhaps her elementary school report cards read “does not play well with others.”
