There is an old saying that you cannot judge a book by its cover. While there may be some truth to that statement, the reality is that you can judge an article by its title. With that in mind, it is important for you to discover and understand the secrets to creating article titles that will get a great response.

The first secret that you need to discover and understand is that an article title should be as short as possible. Long titles lose a potential reader. In some instances, a potential reader will just look at a long title and not even bother to read it.

The second secret to cover when it comes to writing article titles that will get attention is that you should use active language. You want to use words that grab and hold a reader’s attention.

Another secret is the title should grab the readers’ attention. Obviously you are interested in titles that create response or you would not be reading this far into this article. But if the title was only “Article Titles” would you be interested? It needs to reach out and grab the reader to want to read your article.

Finally, you want to make sure that the article and title are both centered on topics that truly will be of interest to a reader. By failing to select topics and titles that will engage a reader, all of your efforts are for nothing.

After you have written your article, ask yourself a question, “Why would I want to read this article.” What would make me want to read it?

By understanding these secrets, you will be well on your way to creating titles for articles that will get a reader’s attention and create great response.
